Introducing The Founder & Online Fitness Coach - Louis Ha

How did you get started?

Ever since college, each summer that passed by I was fat, insecure, not getting girls, and remembered telling myself, “Okay not this year, but next year, I am gonna get in the best shape of my life! Just watch man, I can’t wait.” This went on for another 3-4 years and I kept repeating myself. “There. will. always. be. next. year”.

Well ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH.

A light switch just turned on. I decided to make a change. I decided to focus on working my ass off, each and every workout I wouldn’t be done til I am nearly passed out. I decided that over-eating wasn’t worth it and counting my calories/macronutrients was. Whatever the FUCK it took, I did it. I started working out with friends and also encouraging others who wanted to help themselves, who wanted too to change their lives. I felt great inside and out. I started enjoying going to the gym. It became my favorite part of the day. It wasn’t until I got into shape and looked at myself again in the mirror, I saw a strong, secure and amazing person standing in front of me.

Now I am addicted, in a way it has become my ‘drug’.

Where does your motivation come from?

LETS BE HONEST HERE GUYS!! No heterosexual male would ever tell you he started to work out and get in shape for health reasons. We all did it to attract the ladies. But it wasn’t until working out til close to a year, I learned to do it for myself and not for others. Yes, the girls will come but also, I was happy with myself. The insecurities went away. I started getting compliments and it made me smile. Each day I wanted to be a better person than I was the day before.

What workout routine has worked best for you?

I like to train each main muscle group at high volume 1x per week with abs 2-3x per week. My routine has remained the same except adding more weights or repetition. I usually train at least an hour at the gym.

Here is an example of how my current workout routine looks like:

Monday: Chest/Abs

Tuesday: Back

Wednesday: Legs/Abs

Thursday: Shoulders

Friday: Arms

Saturday and Sunday: Rest

What are your inspirations?

  • To prove people wrong who have said I can’t
  • To look better and feel better
  • Impress the ladies
  • Self – esteem and confidence

What is your diet like?

I’m currently on 40-50 grams of fat, 200 grams of carbohydrates, and 200 grams of protein per day, roughly. I get my foods from generally whatever I feel like. However, I try to eat a couple servings of fruits and vegetables as well as drink between at least a gallon of water a day.

Sample Daily Diet:

Meal 1 – Quest Nutrition Protein Bar

Meal 2 – Healthy Choice Grilled Chicken and Broccoli Alferdo, Quest Nutrition Protein Chips

Meal 3 – Ostrim Beef/Elk Snack Stick or Quest Nutrition Cereal Bar

Meal 4 – 3oz Chicken Breast, 2 Slices of Whole Wheat Bread, Fat Free Slice Cheese, Frank’s Buffalo Sauce

Meal 5 – 6oz Extra Lean Ground Turkey, 1 Serving of Shredded Hash Browns, 2 Servings of Egg Whites, Low Calorie Tortilla

Meal 6 – Lean Cuisine Supreme Pizza

Meal 7 – 2 Scoops of Whey Protein

Do you prefer to use HIIT or just normal cardio?

I normally don’t do traditional cardio at first because I am strict on diet, but if need be, I would do slow intensity on the elliptical post-workout for about 300-400 calories burned if I know I am going to go out and want to indulge a little more.

What is your supplementation like?

I just like to stick to the basics; here is what I’m currently using:

  • Whey Protein
  • Creatine
  • BCAAs
  • Multivitamins
  • Fish Oil
  • Vitamin C

Favorite Bodybuilders?

Danny Keane, Christian Guzman, Randall Pich, etc. Pretty much anyone who has a huge influence in the body building industry but also has a business background as well. Also, Alex Myrvold who has a killer aesthetic physique.

Favorite Quote?

“We’re all born small and weak. We all grow old and weak. What you do in between, is up to you.”
